Post COVID: Anyone experiencing internal vibrations?

Posted by sharho @sharho, Jul 7, 2022

I have had long covid for over two years and a symptom began sporadically during the initial seven weeks that has worsened since a second covid experience. It began as a “flutter” in my chest upon waking, lasting 5 seconds or so. It is not painful just a new sensation I have never experienced. After getting covid again in February 2022, the internal vibrations have become full body and go on for forty seconds. It is always upon waking or falling asleep temporarily during meditation and waking again. Long Covid retired me from my profession and I am not under any stress. I had a recent cardiac incident (also due to long Covid) and wore a Holter monitor. I triggered it whilst having an IV incident: definitely not cardiac induced. Has anyone else experienced IV like this?

I'm not sure if I understood you correctly: what I feel, almost exclusively when I'm about to fall asleep, is a kind of tremor or as if I'm being "pulled," almost like a puppet, and my arms and legs jerk in a peculiar way that's hard to describe. I'm not sure if you're referring to something like that or more along the lines of palpitations. It is extremely peculiar and clearly started with the syndrome

I am still experiencing the same thing. Daunting when you’re trying to sleep.

The internal vibrations are maddening. For 3.5 yrs i have suffered with them. Started out as a fluttering and then spread to entire body. Currently the intense internal vibrations cover my entire abdomen. I rate the intensity as a simmer or a level 9 which requires a distraction so i dont lose my mind. No rhyme or reason for when the intensity kicks up. I have experienced weeks at length of level 9. Sometimes i cry from it. Not pain, but so uncomfortable.

This sounds terribly uncomfortable and a real drain of physical and emotional energy! I am so sorry that you are having this experience.

@pdoubrava me too- since the vaccine(4 days after the vaccine) I got sick and I wake up and fall asleep with this awful internal vibration that is from my torso going through my arms and legs. Tinnitus too. Everyday same. I’ve seen 3 different neurologists and they don’t have a clue. They say they’ve never heard of anyone having this symptom 🤷‍♀️. I just want to say….”well would you do me a favour and look it up?!” Would that be possible because I don’t think I’m the only one on earth that is experiencing this awful symptom day after day since getting the vaccine or like others got Covid then ended up with this 🥴

@pdoubrava also…I heard that a ganglion block can help with this. A friend who also got sick from the vaccine, who also got the tremor goes for a ganglion block injection 1x6 months in two places in her neck and the tremors stopped. I’m going to try it 👌

@tls5alex when drs cant physically see a symptom, they tend to gaslight. I cant wait for them to figure this symptom out. Psychosomatic...NO!!!
