Fat grafting or Botox to relief pain & tightness after treatment?
I had radiation and chemo for SCC on the base of my tongue and a few lymph nodes. Has anyone had fat grafting or Botox injections to relieve pain and tightness? If yes, what are your about the effectiveness of the treatments.

Thanks for that info. I feel the same way. No after radiation care offered .Not sure if that is something that even entered their minds. I'm pretty much doing my own investigation on the aftercare and what can be done. So thank you for any update or bit of information. It's very much appreciated.
I believe fat grafting for post-radiation neck fibrosis is reasonably new. Besides that, for me the only thing available was PT with stretching exercises. My fibrosis made stretching reasonably useless.
For me the Botox injections have been used in concert with the fat grafting.
Hi Steve
Unfortunately, I reside in Toronto - and Boston is not viable.
I have an appt with the doctor at the Late Effects of Radiation Clinic in PMCC next week - and will take it from there.
I don't have pain in with my severe neck fibrosis - except for stiffness in neck and jaw areas (I do have myofascial therapy every two weeks and I do jaw and tongue exercises every day - in the hope that it will delay the deterioration).
Lately, I find that my swallowing is getting worse - in that I have to tilt my head backwards so that food or liquid does not come out through my nose, and also feel numbness in lower jaw, and also tend to drool more often.
In mid 2020 when I was diagnosed - I was told that these are the late effects of radiation - not getting my hopes up!! but .......
Take care !!
