0.1 micrometer reverse osmosis filter

Posted by lilianna @lilianna, Mar 12 8:00pm

my husband installed a three step reverse osmosis under sink tankless filter- sediment, carbon, and RO 0.1 micrometer filter. I know that carbon filter is an incubator for MAC, sediment filter just collects the basic stuff but does the RO filter with the 0.1micrometer filtration would stop MAC? We could not finf just sediment and 0.1 filters installed in line. All are 0.5 micrometers. Anybody has knowledge about this kind of filtration?

Thanks again Robbie! I just ordered yesterday, and the customer service woman is phenomenal. I would like to do something at bathroom sink and shower as well. Kathy

I am so glad you had a helpful experience, Kathy. They are very knowledgeable about water filtration and their customer service reflects that. I am always comfortable in recommending this company. Robbie

Originally I was mistaken that it was reverse osmosis but it’s not. It’s just in line under sink tankless system simple

Lilianna,

Circling back on the under sink filter issue b/c I just purchased a Pall point-of-use filter for the kitchen. Issue is that my water has tons of sediment so I need a sediment filter too! When you say yours is “tankless” do you mean that your water heating system is tankless, or that some filters have a tank of some sort? Thank you for your response!

Paxmundi. Tankless because the filters are inline under the sink and filter water that goes directly to the fawcet not to the tank which would collect filtered water. We installed this filter although it seems it was not tested for bacteria by the third party. It was and is sold by Lowe’s so now since it’s installed I am planning to purchase the test to check for bacteria content.

I didn’t even know one had to check to see that a filter is bacteria- free when you purchase it—thanks for that tip❣️

Also, definitely tankless is the way to go with this since there is less opportunity for contamination before it gets to the user. Does this p type of filter have a special name?

I remember somebody was writing about a tested for bacteria water filter system. When I find it I will let you know. Ours is installed but I don’t know if it’s a reliable company- have to check the name and will let you know.
