I started on HRT in my mid 40 's and remained on it until my late 50 's, when my doctor said that I would have to stop HRT because of "calcifications in my breast" the result of the recent mammogram I had. I am now 75 and am having extreme fatigue, sleep problems, Vertigo, Tinnitus and extreme anxiety and brain fog. I just feel like I need something to make me feel like I used to feel when I was on HRT in my '40's and '50's. Has anyone here started a second time with HRT at 75?

I asked my gyno, a menopause specialist, about an estrogen patch and he said it could have a negative cognitive effect. I'm 79 and in good health. I won't do anything to jeopardize cognitive function. My PCP said I could have one if I had hot flashes (which I don't) but I'm staying with the advice of my gyno. I do use estradiol cream 3 x week and wouldn't miss a dose because of the relief it's given me.
I also have tinnitus but don't think it's due to menopause. I've found that magnesium glycinate has helped with sleep. I get it from Thorne, a reputable 3rd party tested supplement company.
I hope you find some relief.
