Questions if you feel like answering
I want to know a couple of things and if anyone is willing to answer, that would be great. I am going from my own experience, however I am curious as to you folks.
1) How long after you had Covid did you get Long COVID.
2) Have you had a lot of stress and/or trauma in your life?
3) Would you say you were healthy before you got COVID?
4) Have you had depression in your lifetime?
Just for clarification, I answered "yes" to all the questions.
Thank you in advance. Hang in there!

3 Reactions1. I have had Covid several times. The first times, I had small amounts of SOB/racing heart at night for short periods.
2. But in 2023, I had several episodes of severe stress/trauma. Hell year. Then the LC started happening for 3 months at a time in 2024. This happened four times (I am on my last one and at 2.5 months). The LC would start either when sick with Covid or it would start one month later.

3 Reactions1) How long after you had Covid did you get Long COVID.
I originally got covid in December 2019 when they couldn't really figure out what it was.
I didn't feel horrible after the symptoms subsided.
Then a few months later I got it again which I personally don't think it ever went away. It kind of seems like it lays partially dormant and flares intensify. I've had it either since day 1 or since the 2nd time and none of my symptoms have ever went away this many years later. Today, very odd symptoms keep showing up. I'm extremely miserable without any relief or help and many days are completely debilitating.
2) Have you had a lot of stress and/or trauma in your life? No
3) Would you say you were healthy before you got COVID? Yes
4) Have you had depression in your lifetime? No but, as this Long Covid continues I have it and it's truly bringing me down as it's years now I'm sick with this virus and seems like it's not ever going away just destroying my body slowly

3) Would you say you were healthy before you got COVID? I was in good health - working and teaching
4) Have you had depression in your lifetime? Not at all but the 5 years of COVID has taken a toll

1 ReactionI got Covid for the second time one year ago. The symptoms started right away. I am extremely tired all the time and have no taste. Also developed neuropathy in my legs.
I have had breast cancer and raised 5 daughters and worked as a teacher so I would say constant but manageable stress
I was very healthy prior to getting it.
I have had short bouts of depression but nothing serious

3 ReactionsHi,
1- I had Covid 11/2020. Got the first vaccine 4/2021. Still fine. Got booster two weeks later and after 3 days got severe psoriatic arthritis (never had that before but did have psoriasis). Couldn’t move for a year because of pain.
In January of 2022 had injections of Cimzia (biologic). It made the arthritis clear up within a week. Within two weeks of the Cimzia I gained 30 pounds, hypothyroidism, extreme fatigue, PEM, digestive issues, heart palpitations.
Quit the Cimzia. I think it messed with my immune system which I think Covid does too.
2-a ton of stress in September of 2020.
3-super healthy before. I’m 65 now. It was farming and painting houses 10+ hour daily.
4-depression yes. Only when being gaslighted for years from doctors.
All that to say I’ve been dealing with this for 3 1/2 years. Tried pre and probiotics. Dietary changes.
Started Low dose naltrexone about 2 1/2 months ago. I’m feeling more energy and digestive system is definitely improving. Not up to my usual energy levels (which were off the charts) but getting better. Another thing I noticed about the naltrexone is that after a month or so my body fat started to kind of redistribute itself. I was big in the belly, underarms and groin and things have shifted more back to normal (I was always pretty skinny). Weird.
Hope this puzzle pice helps your thought process.
Ellen
