ddMVAC neoadjuvant, has anyone experienced this type of chemotherapy ?
My husband has T2 with mixed histology, mostly urothelial cancer cells, about 40% adrenal cancer cells and 5% trophoblastic. TURBT removed 6cm CIS multifocal tumor and a few papillary removed. He is scheduled for 6 cycles of this chemo mixture. The doctor wants to do cystectomy following chemo. He is a healthy 68 year young. Can anyone share their experience with this type of chemotherapy? We would appreciate it . Thank you.

Started round #5 today. So far my husband has held a good weight, lost about 7 lbs, labs are good for chemo, kidney and liver are good. Hanging-in there. Surgery scheduled for September 8. Not sure which diversion yet.
Excellent! Keep it up!

1 ReactionHi, Dr. lowered the cisplatin to 50 mg on the ddMVAC due to hearing loss. My guy is hurting pretty badly 4 days after round 5. Managing to muddle through it. RC scheduled in September.
I had kidney failure. Mostly recovered. But it ended DDMVAC after four cycles. No reduction in dosage as far as I am aware.
Be careful with hearing loss. It is irreversible as I understand it.
