For a natural method, I use Lisepten and have been using it for many years now. I have no visible symptoms. Although the condition persists, it's now well-managed.

lk I am experiencing more pain than itching. I am tired of going to minor med and be diagnosed with vaginitis. Does anyone else have more trouble in the evening.?

I have vaginal Lichen Scelrosis. I went to many doctors through the years who did not help me. I finally found Dr.Nyirjesy in Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia PA who got my Lichen Sclerosis under control after a few months. It can be on other parts of the body but not in my case. There were no over the counter creams, etc but none worked for me.

I’m so glad it is under control now. My flare is going on three months. I see a specialist in this area in January. Some days, the redness, pain, swelling, and itching is very difficult. I always can’t wait to get home to put uncomfortable clothes.i am not sure the clobetesal is even working. Most articles I read say it takes a few weeks, not several months to calm down. I get checked every other month. The whole thing makes me a wreck because it just came out of nowhere.

I’m sorry you have LS.
Ozonated Coconut Oil is what my urogynocologist has me on now, no steroid ointments at all. I’ve been using it since February and have had no outbreaks. With Clobetesol I had continuous outbreaks and lesions.
I buy this brand online from Amazon or Pur.

Thank you for this information! I am curious - prior to starting on this coconut oil, had you had a punch biopsy to confirm the lichen sclerosis?

@2thfairy Lisepten also has a coconut formula if you want something created explicitly for LS symptoms.

@echapman Thank you! The Pur Brand has worked wonders for me. It’s ozonated, which promotes healing of tissues. Glad there are better options now instead of only steroids, which never worked for me.
