Actually, the side effect is PCO - and the only solution is Nd:YAG laser procedure. Discussion then revolves around "circumferential vs cruciate" process.

In reply to Sunny 1971@sunny1971. I had cataract surgery in one eye (had Fuchs Dystrophy). The pain did not subside ( usually on a scale 5) and it has been 2 years. I use Tylenol. Decided not to have the other eye done. I was told that sometimes cataract surgery does not improve the eye. I have edema in eye. Sure hope you do better.
