Mom just had her bloodwork this week… everything is stable… high things were still high… low things were still low…
Doc said her condition is “stable”…. Follow up in 3-4 months unless there is a change.
Her platelets are down to its lowest ever…. 40
And I just realized her test was only cbc and not cbc with differential….
Am I correct that the cbc differential would have shown % of blasts??
We are very pleased with how she is doing… kinda poops out in the evening but nothing she couldn’t do if she had toooooo…
Itching is about the same… her spots are nice and pink , appetite good….
Honestly I’m starting to feel like if she had taken treatments as recommended, she’d be deceased by now…. She is doing THAT GOOD…. Even the attitude!!!
God is Good!!!
Your mom’s story is nothing short of remarkable. Wow! I’m so happy to hear she’s stable and feeling so well. I can’t help but agree with you about the treatments in her case, though we’ll never really know. Anyway, you can’t argue with her decision on this! The fact that she has blood work every 3-4 months instead of monthly or every two weeks, is an indication her doctors are pretty comfortable with this not progressing quickly at this time. Can’t beat that!
Love her positive attitude too! Thanks for letting me know!
One note, with her low platelet level, now’s not the time to pick up a hobby like knife juggling. 😉
If you mom’s platelet level becomes critically low would she consider a platelet infusion if needed?
