I had my ACDF surgery on my c6-c7 on June 16 and everything went well. I had to wear a soft collar neck brace to help remind me not to twist/turn my head/neck. They put a large bandage over the incision that has dissolvable stitches and steristrips over top of them.

Pain wasn’t too bad (stopped oxycodone after 5 days and only took one pill at night even though I could take 3 per day).

I can already tell my arms are stronger (but I am not supposed to lift anything heavier than 5-10 pounds). My bladder seems a bit better where I don’t have as much of a problem with control and my balance seems a bit better, too.

I go for post op follow-up on July 2 and will learn more about what they recommend for the first few months after surgery (what I can and cannot do).

My hope is that I notice more improvement as time passes.

Hi o did not have surgery yet. Still treating DVT and PE .
Dealing with pain both from neck and DVT .
How was your surgety C6-C7 are you recovering well ?
