Weighted vest or vibration plate

Posted by friend123 @friend123, Jun 9, 2024

I just invested in a weighted vest which I use when taking walks. Has anyone tried the vibration plates? Seems like there are mixed opinions on both. Has anyone seen any success with these? Thanks

I don’t see a Hyper women’s vest that goes over 10 pounds. Do you happen to have a link? Perhaps the extra weight is an add-on? I weigh 130 so was hoping to find 12-13# total. Interesting that we both paid a pain price for over 10% body weight.

I don’t believe you can add more than 10 lbs to the Hyperwear vest. That said, I purchased one recently and was surprised by how effective just that 10 lbs is on a walk. I thought I’d want more weight but 10 lbs is plenty for me. I am 145 lbs and regularly lift weights and exercise.

I wear a Hypervst Pro, You can put two weights in a pocket, so it can weigh more than ten pounds. I just tried it with mine and they do fit, although I think if you put two eights in each pocket, it would be hard to do that for every pocket. You could put two weights in every other pocket and get to 15 pounds.

Good to know, thank you. I see on their website that this version of their weighted vest can go up to 40 lbs.

I have had the Marodyne vibration plate for a year now and love it. I use it before I walk and once again at night. I'll find out this week if my bone density has improved.

Hi all,
Wanted to share a recent discovery that I hope may benefit others. I have been wearing a 10lb weight vest around my hips for a few weeks and decided that I should try a full vest. Since I have experienced multiple fractures in various parts of my spine, I live with some version of pain and by the end of the day, it is hard for me to stand for any duration and standing straight has not been obtainable.
Positive step I hope. Since I have been wearing the full vest and wear it most of the day, I am finding that my back does not ache as much and I am able to stand for longer periods of time and am able to stand straight.
Because standing straight has been almost impossible, I took all of the weights from the top front (left the bottom front) and doubled them in the back which tends to put me in a straighter position.
Exercising with it is still a far reach but I am reminded how many times I bend during the course of a day. Just doing natural movements seems to be enough for now.

How long do you use it each time you do? Thank you.
