Post Covid, night time, shortness of breath and racing heart.
I have had Covid several times and the last four times, I have been experiencing night time shortness of breath (SOB) and rapid heart beats. Each time, so far, has lasted three months. Is anyone else experiencing this and if so what has helped eliminate these symptoms?

Sorry Sue that your family is not supporting you. As far as I know my family believes me. How long have you had the tachycardia and fast breathing? When did it start? Mine starts about four hours into sleep at night. Worsens towards morning.
Try sipping on electrolytes when you get shortness of breath and rapid heart beat at night. I have constant chronic dehydration with my Long COVID so am drinking electrolytes all day and into the night. I use Key Nutrients but any good electrolyte without sugar might help.
Thanks for the good idea.
Mine is similar, but not much belief and/or participation. 😒
Thank you! I will try!
Some of my family and other people that I had in my life (notice past tense) either do not believe it is a real illness or just can't understand it. That is another difficult part of this and why I come to this page everyday. I have isolated myself, partly due to feeling shitty and the other piece is the lack of understanding and even people that have never heard of Long COVID. I know that isolating is not healthy and I am in school (online) so I am not completely isolated. I am in an internship that is hybrid, I work from home some and I go in about 12 hours a week. Those days are difficult as I am completely fatigued and feel terrible in the evening and then have the post exertion malaise when I wake up. I have that daily although some mornings are much worse than others.
Well understood.
LC caused A-fib (very irregular heartbeat). I collapsed and was ambulanced to the hospital. Please see a cardiologist and if warranted, an endocrinologist.
The cardiologist put me on Flecainide which keeps my heartbeat at a normal rate.
I have the exhaustion from LC but can keep going through the day and even take moderate paced 20 minute walks.
We’re all fighting the same battle. It sucks!!
I have read some good things about Glutathione and how it can help with oxidative stress and lung function. It can help control inflammation in the lungs. As always research and talk to your doctor before trying anything new. I am going to give it a try. It may take some time to figure out if it is helping though.
