Hi Lori, additional tests are indicating AML is not present so good news but confusing, was diagnosis too soon.
So since cervical cancer was confirmed, chemo has been ruled out for now due to the renal issue.
Platelets continue to go down.
She’s stable but very weak.

With your mom’s cervical cancer, perhaps blood numbers were skewed with a higher white blood count, or who knows. But take the “no longer having an AML diagnosis”, along with her cervical cancer as a win! The poor dear doesn’t need a double whammy. I’d like to follow along with you and your mom though so please keep me updated, if you don’t mind.

But since her cervical cancer is out of my area of experience, I’m going to post a link for you to our Gynecologic Cancers discussions:

I think this would be a very helpful group for you to get information for your mom. Feel free to look through current conversations and pop in with your questions or start a new one for your mom!
I wish her will with her kidneys and hope they improve significantly so your mom is able to get treatment for her cervical cancer. Did the doctors have alternatives besides the chemo?
