Does anyone here have Dressler Syndrome? I’m on steroids and as I try to taper down, the symptoms flare back up…

Hi all - I will update as more people have indicated that they have been diagnosed with Dresslers. Mine was severe and I've been on Prednisone, Naproxen, PPI, Bactrim and Colchicine. I was started on 30 mg of Prednisone. I've never had to take any medicine so this journey has been difficult. But I'm happy to report that I am down to 5 mg Prednisone over 4 months and will now taper to 3 mg in one week and then 1 mg tapers for 7 days each until done. I notice that I have rebound symptoms if I go down by 5 mg and feel 1 mg tapers are the best for me and my doctor agrees. I am also tapering Naproxen which started at 1000 mg and I am currently at 375mg for 7 days and then will stop. Bactrim was stopped when I reached 10 mg Prednisone and I tapered the PPI for 2 weeks - every other day one week and then every third day. I'm glad I am off this now. When I am done with Prednisone and Naproxen I will continue Colchicine until mid to late August for a total of 6 months on colchicine. Then the two months following being off all meds is critical monitoring and my labs will be continued every two weeks through the end of October. I will get an echocardiogram 2 more times (August and December) and meet with my EP in December one last time. Pleural spaces have not had fluid since March so they are confident that it will not come back and pericardium only had fluid on the day of the surgery when cardiac tamponade happened - after the drain it has never returned. I hope everyone recovers well and best wishes for a happy and healthy life. If anyone has specific questions, I will be happy to respond.
