Atrial Flutter with ITP
I have just been diagnosed with Atrial Flutter and I have ITP. I understand that for surgery blood thinners are needed. However, my ITP means I cannot take blood thinners. I will be having discussions with my haematologist tomorrow but I am interested in hearing comments on people who have been in this position.

I may be in a similar position. I'm being scheduled for an ablation for Afib/AFlutter & will be discussing it with my haematologist. He suspects I have ITP (low platelet count and variable von Willebrand's 40+ years). I am ok to take Eliquis, as long as platelets > 50, but this was before ablation was on the table. Will be happy to share what I learn and thank you in advance for sharing yours.
