Phlegm in my throat and post nasal drip after Covid
Ever since I had covid in January of 2022 I recovered from the virus but I was left with a constant phlegm in the back of my throat and post nasal drip that will not go away. The feeling of having mucus in the back of my throat actually gets worse when I try to get rid of it by coughing. I have been given steroid inhalers, albuterol, allergy medication, but none of these work. The mucus gets worse especially after I eat. I've never felt like this before and it all started after covid. Can anybody relate to what I am going through?

Yes!! This has been happening to me for over a year! I've been seeing an allergist & her prescriptions do little for me. Some days I think I'm getting better & then it comes back with a vengeance!
Yup, wondering the same thing. I got many covid boosters (after recoveringfrom covid) & each time my brain fog was intense!! Now I think the mucous is also a side effect from the shots. Ugghh!!!
I even chose an allergy/pulmonary specialist office that claims to treat long covid issues & not getting anywhere with my mucous issue!!
Would like to be a part of a medical trial about long covid mucous!!
My throat just fills up. 😢
How would or could start a group. No one understands how serious this is for us. Now I have hoarseness ALL the time and the answer from dr is I Don't Know! Where/how do we start???
Yes! My husband Mike has had this phlegm problem every day for 3+ years, along with fatigue and aches all over. It started the day after he got the
mRNA booster by Pfizer. What about Mayo Clinic? Do they have any hope for these thousands of people suffering all day, every day? 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Interesting. I have unexplainable intermittent full body pain too. I hadn't connected that to long covid but I bet that's it! Oy!!!😫
I have no clue 😢. I've never been in a clinical trial. But I have been trying some of the home treatments mentioned in this chat. The saline spray throughout the day seems to help. I'm weaning myself off other Rx meds to see how I do. So tired of all the sprays, inhalers & cost!!! Just feels like money down the throat drain now!
Honestly, Rx albuterol & OTC Mucinex are the only meds that helps me get the mucous up & out. I'm also using a wonderful throat spray that my chiropractor suggested, called Barlean's Immune Support Throat Spray, available at Amazon. So grateful to have found this support group!! Good luck & be healthy everyone!
