deep depression need help

i’m in a deep depression again. cannot get out of it. on meds for 25 years have dr. these episodes repeat often.
shaking, crying, cannot function. would ketamine or tmi help

I am so sorry you are struggling. I am now dealing with my depression and anxiety not responding to Paxil ( generic brand) which I have been on for years along with Clonazapam. I’m 78 and the amount of Paxil I'm on is too much for me at my age. I’m 78. I tried cutting my Peroxatine ( Paxil) from 40 mg to 30 mg. For several weeks I felt good but now am going through horrible withdrawal. My current Psychiatrist down plays what I’m telling him. I’ve decided after many years to switch Psychiatrists. My former Dr does not seem to hear me. I believe there are other meds out there like Prozac and Lexapro. Depression is horrible with anxiety. My daily life and activities are almost at a standstill still. This is not how I want to live. I’m hoping a new Dr will help. I’m a young 78 yr female. Take care . We must be our best advocates.

My brother just got out of a psychiatric facility. He dialed 988 as he knew that he was hopeless. He is doing better. I suggest doing whatever you need to do, regardless of what anyone thinks. If you need to go and be evaluated and assessed again, do it.

I am glad that you have faith. I do not question anyone's faith. Sometimes, depression and other disorders are not fixed by faith only. Revelations is an interesting book in the New Testament. It is Paul's vision of what the world will be like upon the return of Jesus, so I am a bit confused about your post.

My brother has been suffering from severe depression since Covid. He also lost his taste and lost 60 lbs. he’s been on all kinds of meds. We are now trying Ketamine treatments. He’s only been to two sessions so far and it’s a very low dose. Nothing yet but it takes time usually. Praying this works. I’ll try to keep you informed. Depression is awful. I also dealt with it for years. Luckily Sertraline and Abilify worked for me.

Definitely agree that not all this are cured by faith. Revelation 21:4 is something to remember and is a hope for the future. I think we all need hope to keep on going.
