Mac + lung cavity
my 3 centimetre cavity has healed in 16 months with the 3 antibiotics - both shocked and delighted. Preventative medicine doctor assisted my immune system cope - also recommended a vegan diet for last 9 months.

Hello Bearsmom91
Do you know if you sleep with your mouth open at night.
I was waking up with dry mouth for a long time. I started using the 3M paper tape, micropore tape, to place a small piece above and below my lips to keep my mouth shut at night. It works, no more dry mouth.
Thought I'd mention my experience for food for thought.

2 ReactionsI was having trouble with dry mouth at night, too—felt like my throat was brittle enough to crack! I started using either Fluticasone, then switched to Flunisolde, and went back to sleeping with my mouth closed. Problem solved. Bothe were prescribed by my doctor, though I believe they are available over-the-counter. Fortunately, I did not have to go to using tape, but would if necessary.

1 ReactionThat is an ingenious idea! I wondered if it was possible to be sure that my mouth wasn't open during the night and you proved it can be done! I woke up yesterday needing to drink a sip of water every few minutes even though I was awake. I started to get really depressed about this new development and looked online for ideas. I saw that Biotene is a good choice, called my pharmacist to be sure it wouldn't affect any of my medications and my husband picked some up for me. It worked like a charm. My mouth stayed moist for at least 6 hours and my throat didn't feel dry either. I appreciate the tip you gave me. Keep Biotene on mind in case you have problems with dry mouth in the day time and thank you very much for your reply.

3 ReactionsThank you! I did a little research after posting here and came up with Biotene! My pharmacist said it won't affect any of my meds and I took it about 4:00 pm. At 10 pm my mouth was still moist and my throat didn't feel dry either. Thank you so much for your reply!

1 ReactionMine was 2.1 cm and was filled in in the 16th month of four antibiotics. It stayed the same size all the time and never shrank until this month.

4 ReactionsHave you ever had to have your cavities biopsy? I current have two. One is 1.4 x 0.9 cm and the other one is 9.5 x 7.1 mm. I’ve had them for two years. Last CT scan they grew just a little. The pulmonologist wants me to do another sputum sample and possible biopsy on one of them if there’s any changes when I have my next CT scan in 6 months.
