Possible medical markers for ME/CFS, Long Covid

As a long time ME/CFS patient of Dr. Paul Cheney for 20 something years, I thought his observation of the missing fingerprints in one-third of his patients could be an important medical marker for this condition. I am in the one-third who have this condition. Some patients fingerprints were so severely degraded, they couldn't pass security tests for work. I wonder if this is happening in Long Covid patients also.
