Postprandial Hypotension (After meal b/p drops)
Does anyone suffer from this condition it is sometimes linked to autonomic failure. Interested if anyone has any experience with it.

One of my symptoms has involved a general lowering of my BP and pulse. Diiagnoost with Ms ,(stable)), and peripheral neuropathy. Cerebral atrophy is being noted in my exams and med records.
Are you diagnosed with MSA or MS? Very different dx. What test diagnosed you with peripheral neuropathy? Praying you have good days ahead. 🙏
Does your B/P drop immediately after your meal while sitting or drop when you get up after a meal? What is actually the full name of your diagnosis. When People use medical terminology especially on this site, it is best to spell it out completely or state the diagnosis then in parenthesis use letters so that it makes it clear. Thank you
Not sure who your question is addressing. If it is me, the condition and a description of it is in the heading of the question I posed originally. And, the b/p drops based on eating, not postural changes.
Maybe I misunderstood, I'm sorry. Does your blood pressure drop while you are eating.. and are you symptomatic? Like dizzy, headache etc?
The blood pressure usually drops after eating within about 20 - 30 minutes for me, but in the online info I’ve found about the condition it can be up to 2 hours after eating. It happens to me every time I eat. Standing or sitting does not impact the change at all as well as I can tell. I have orthostatic hypotension too, but I’m waiting for the results of a tilt table to see how that pans out. How about you, do you have OH? Very unsettling for me, I have some other symptoms that make me think of Multiple System Atrophy. 😔 PS I don’t get dizzy or have headaches at all. It’s really strange.
I have multiple sclerosis. My sx stabilized with the two year Mavenclad regimen. I'm actually dx with cidp, (chronic inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy), after an EMG. However, after a second, more intensive EMG, it's looking as if the Demyelinating aspect isn't there. Still waiting on dr's visit for the follow up. Thanks for the good prayers.
My BP and pulse are just generally going lower over time. I had some really volatile aspects in the past which appears to have been from a BP med that was too strong for me. There's some apparently neurological disease causing issues with many of my vitals, not related to my MS. I replied to the post mentioning that condition with cerebral atrophy, which I have also. My sx's are complicated by what appears to be multiple factors. Beyond the physical disease, I'm pretty exhausted with being in the dark and just taking fist fulls of symptoms management meds. My cerebral atrophy was highlighted in my latest EMG report.
Yes, when you start having issues with vitals add in meds and all kinds of other things it can be a real nightmare. Is the cerebral atrophy related to the MS? I wish you good days ahead and explanations to go with every symptom. 🙏
I have no idea if the cerebral atrophy is MS related or not. Just kinda gets mentioned occasionally in reports. Whatever is active now, is pretty aggressive and is characteristically different from my MS. I'm not sure that my doctors get this.
