@raphaela2025 Did you mean near Methodist Hospital? The Kahler Inn and Suites and the Kahler Grand are both across the street from Methodist Hospital which is in the Charlton Bldg. You can walk to the downtown campus of Mayo Clinic including Methodist Hospital via the subway from the Kahler Inn and Suites and the Kahler Grand Hotel.
St. Mary's hospital is farther away. There isn't a subway level to St Mary's hospital. There are hotels such as Aspen Suites (free parking too) near St. Mary's that are within close walking distance.
When I looked online, I can walk through the tunnel to the Gonda building and I don't remember if Charlton is across the road. Last time I went I was on the St. Mary's campus. I have an interview at 10 EDT, so I'll find out. Do you know if the Aspen Suites are nicer than the Kahler hotels. My parents are coming and they are used to fancy hotels. They will rent a car if I get treatment there and probably stay somewhere in the town.
We found the Holiday Inn Express on the concierge list. You can see the main entrance to St Mary's, a 5-minute/.2 mi walk from the parking lot, there was free parking and breakfast. As @raphaela2025 noted, there were many hotels and other accommodations nearby that offered a discount for Mayo patients and families. With parking at a premium, proximity was a very high priority for my husband. There is a free shuttle service between several hotels and the main Mayo buildings.
