I am looking at the cost for Besremi and WHOA! I may not be able to afford the copay.. trying to get the info from my insurance company. Any tips on how to pay for this stuff? This makes me very sad! Its the cost of being in America I guess. Sucks! may have to reconsider this plan or sell my house.

My dr contacted the specialty pharmacy in the town next to us and I was given a grant. The grant paid for my injections and that met the catastrophic deductible on my insurance so now I get it free of charge. My insurance pays 100%. They ship me 2 injections at a time and the cost would be $16,939.01. Wishing you the best

Your hemo/oncologist may need to explain to yr insurance co why you need Besremi vs HU. Your new PV diagnosis should help. Besremi is approved for PV, but not for ET.

If you are enrolled in Part D Medicare, there's a $2,000 cap on out of pocket expenses, but whether that cap will stay in place is anyone's guess.

The drug makers sometimes give you a reduced cost for a short time, but their generosity often expires after a year of freebies.

Please keep us updated. Hard enough to get the news your ET has progressed without having to worry about treatment costs.
