There are no pro’s for it. It has black box warnings from the FDA.

Everyone is different, but for me HU has made a huge, positive difference, with no downside.

HU is also life-altering for those with sickle cell anemia.

For me, the positive aspect of this drug is that it works well and my doctor is able to keep my platelets in the range he wants by adjusting the dosage.
No side effects for me and the price is very reasonable.
(I’m using it for Polycythemia Vera)
