Has anyone had Bordetella Bronchiseptica
Has anyone had Bordetella Bronchiseptica show on their sputum results? I have been told to take Azithromyzin, however I cannot find anything online suggesting azith for this. Can anyone help me with this or give me any info in this bug. Thanks Heather

@irene8 yes I have had blood come up sometimes but other times no blood, it is so strange. I have read that it can be lots of other things like asthma or mucus, one day I may figure it out. It is an awful feeling thats for sure.
@phillymom thank you so much for your reply, was it Bordetella bronchisepetica?
Is there any advantage to speeding up the treatment time by using the eflow? Other than saving time? I wonder if it is better to take longer to nebulize the saline if you are willing to?
Somewhere on this site I compared particle sizes between eFlow and compressor type machines. There are articles detailing its function. It's important to belly breathe while inhaling from either. Although I cannot answer your question which "is better", CFers have been using eFlow for over a decade and that was proof enough for me to splurge on the eFlow. It does leave some saline behind, which is a drawback.
Questions about the eFlow if you could answer please.
Is the 7%hypertonic saline too much for it? Does it clog it up? Do you need to purchase the "Easy Care" cleaner also?
Can this be cleaned in a Bololo after washing? Instructions say boil 5 minutes, what about our usual 10 minute boil?
Handsets must be replaced every 6 months?
Apparently, can't be used with an Aerobika, so that must be used afterwards?
Thanks for your time.
Yes, the Pari E flow can be used with 7% saline. It does not clog up. After each use, I soak it in very hot tapwater with a drop of Dawn dishwashing liquid. After 10 minutes I rinse it in running hot tapwater and put it on the counter to dry. About every other day, I pop it into the baby bottle sterilizer. I do not boil it on a regular basis, but will boil it when I come home after a trip. After about a year and a half I replaced the handset. Long story. Our hot water heater was going and the rust from the water basically ruined the mesh disc, which was ready to be replaced anyway. I purchased the easy care cleaner and have never used it. Not necessary if you have a baby bottle sterilizer. The Aerobika was not very effective for me so unless I’m desperate, I don’t use it. I simply use autogenic drainage after the nebulizer.

@scoop Pari says that the bit that is left in chamber after nebbing is not a problem as the nebuliser deposits more of the meds into the lungs, other nebulisers into the lungs when using it, therefore it is more efficent.
