Does anyone have enlarged lymph nodes in their neck from Long Covid?

Posted by lindy1965 @lindy1965, Sep 15, 2023

Since starting this nightmare in early 2020, I have had this large ‘lump’ sitting over my carotid artery on the left side of my neck. When I first noticed, I showed it to my neurologist at an appointment thinking it was a lymph node. He said, I can see your heart beat through the ‘lump’ and he showed visible signs of concern and immediately sent me for MRI of my carotid arteries. That was all fine, thank goodness. From there I was sent to a vascular Doc for ultrasound, CT scan etc… all results came back normal.
Today at a physical with the nurse practitioner at my PC office, I mentioned that it is still very much present. Now, 2 years later, they are super concerned that it is an enlarged lymph node and are sending me for further diagnostics. I feel like this should have been explored when I first mentioned it. 🤷‍♀️. Does anyone else have this symptom?
So of course now I’ve got one more worry.

Hello, kind of having the same, was it in you armpits and were they like showing up interchangeably? And for like how long did this happen before they disappeared.

Don’t play with this lymph node. My daughter had Thyroid Cancer 2 years ago and had a complete Thyroidectomy. She has recovered and is doing well now, but it’s a very long surgery due to all the nerves that stand in the way there. She didn’t loose her voice, as they said she might which is great, because she’s a teacher! The good news with Thyroid Cancer is that it is usually a slow growing cancer, so even if this lymph node is cancerous, you will be fine. I wish you good luck!

I'm sorry youre dealing w/ this. Yes. I have an enlarged lymph node on the left side of my neck. Is about the size of a regular grape & I've had it now for over 2 years. My primary care got an ultrasound and that was it. With long COVID my weight dropped about 20 # and now it's really easy to see. Strangers ask me what's wrong w/ your neck.

LC for 1.5 years - left side of my neck has been swollen for entire time - seems to be going down a little now. Have had lots of tests to rule out cancer etc.

Yes, but my doc doesn’t seem to worry about them.
