Be sure to get your copper levels tested before adding that in supplement form. I'm taking 2 mg. of Copper Gluconate daily, as prescribed by my doctor.
For the alkaline diet, Google "alkaline diet images" and pull up one or two of the charts that show foods in their alkaline/acidic categories. (Some of the images are too blurry.) Work toward eating things that are alkaline. Probably 80% to 90% of my diet is from that side of the fence. As a vegan, this is easy for me. Meat and dairy are all on the acidic side. Some things are counter intuitive, including lemons and limes being alkaline. My platelets moved from 60K to 120K. I have yet to get to the "normal" range, but I've held steady at 120K for a decade. I'm hoping the low copper was part of my problem and that the supplement will help.
It takes a good 4 to 8 weeks to know if something is improving our platelets.
