Husband unable to use devices due to excessive restless sleep.

My husband has several sleep disorders. The chronic sleep deprivation has caused other health issues including high blood pressure and terrible swollen legs. The sleep problem has been going on for so long that I can't remember how long my husband has been suffering.

Thinking back, the first problem I recall was really bad restless legs. Every night his legs were bothering him, he couldn't stop moving them. Then he started having sleep apnea issues. I think this was initially due to weight gain and alcohol, both of which are no longer an issue. The longer his sleep has been affected the worse things are getting. He sleep walks now and he has complete conversations with himself in his sleep. He also wakes up to chime in on conversation ls with others. He sleeps mostly on his knees leaning on something, a couch, bed or chair. Or he just sleeps standing. We have not slept in the same bed for a couple of years now, that's been difficult.
He had a sleep study and I don't know how they got any data because he really couldn't keep the device on his face. He tried the CPap and several different attachments, two different mouth pieces (newest one received 2 weeks ago), trazadone, and I don't know what else. Nothing has worked or even helped him at all.
I am looking for recommendations for next steps. I am worried about my husband's health and I am at the end of my rope.

What has your husband tried in addition to everything you have tried to help him? Is he trying to help himself?

Did he have a sleep study in a sleep lab (not just the at home device)? What did they say about his sleep behavior?

Has he really tried hard to wear the full cpap face mask and have the specialist adjust the pressure to help himself successfully use it? Does your husband know that untreated sleep apnea can slowly kill you over time? He could hold his breath too long and his heart can stop (that is what happened to my mom when she was in the ER and she died at 67).

Has he tried taking melatonin, magnesium and alpha Lipoic acid/acetyl l carnitine supplements to help calm his nervous system to allow him to sleep? Does he use good sleep hygiene (cool and dark room, white noise, comfortable bed/pillows, stopping coffee/caffeine early in the day, stopping electronics an hour or two before bedtime, not eating too close to bed time and having smaller dinner meal, sleep meditation apps, no smoking/vaping, etc.? Has he tried drinking warm milk before bed?
