I have the first ten of the twelve symptoms for CTE. What do I do?
I have ten of the symptoms for CTE. It's a daily occurrence for me to have problems getting through my day. Planning, motivation, focus, rage, sadness, fear, anxiety, just to name a few keep me from achieving any goals and far more severe thoughts and feelings cripple my days as well.
I was abused nearly daily by my father as a child...for my entire childhood. The blinding flash of lightning inside of my head every time he hit me is the most frequent memory of my childhood.
Lately I've been having extreme thought about myself and others. I don't feel like I belong here on earth. Making and keeping friends is difficult for me. Some days it's easy but mostly it's not. 5 years ago I was also in a motorcycle accident where I broke my C6, T8, right clavicle, right scapula, nerve damage in the right hand causing limited function, double compound fractures of the left Tib/Fib. I had two left brain strokes while in surgery and I was kept in a coma for 3 weeks. I have recovered physically but never reached 100% of my former abilities. I don't know what to do...

@blindinglightning
I am so sorry to hear of your suffering and for your past abuse. I can empathize because I lived in fear of my father who was abusive/neglectful and my mother didn’t protect my sister and me from him.
Are you working with a neurologist and psychiatrist to treat your symptoms with medication? Have you worked with a nutritionist/dietitian to optimize your diet/supplements for optimal nervous system/nerve health? Do you have a psychologist that specializes in head trauma patients and childhood abuse/PTSD?
You definitely need to take the best care of yourself as possible and get a care/support team to help you.
