Follow up ct scan
Hi everyone. I went in for my follow up CT yesterday and am spiraling with worry. The tech was very reassuring with me and told me these nodules were very very common. I haven’t heard anything from my doctor yet today. I’m wondering if that is a good sign and yes I’m reaching a bit. How long did it take to get your results? Sick with worry.

I’m sorry you’re feeling anxious and welcome to the family of worriers but also warriors when they need to be. It’s torture waiting for a call back and all that entails, I was just wondering what your follow up was for, were you under observation with your nodules, if so it’s very normal to go through this process but if you’re new to it then I can certainly feel your stress. We have all been through this and even when it becomes a routine, you will always feel nervous about test results, it’s normal to feel like you are doing. Perhaps you can call them and say that you’re concerned about your results, sometimes it works, good wishes.
A good book ? Maybe I have trained myself over the years . I don’t worry . I assume that it is a big waste of time. To worry about the results that might make me worry ?. Not trying to be cruel here . The human mind works full time . Thoughts come in and the next one is on its way. Good thoughts , bad thoughts ,. They just keep coming. You don’t have to sit down to lunch with any of them . If they are negative or worrisome, push them on through . Let the next one come in. Try to control which you let in . I have a round file way in the back of my mind. I send some to it when I can . Those never come back . Bless all of you. Crystalina
All test results, and Dr Notes are posted on Doctor's Internet site (MyChart for example). I always review results before I see my doctor, so I am prepared with questions. I have learned the technical terms since I am 3.5 years into this. Mayo now has a "patient friendly" format where one places cursor over the word and the definition pops up.
Also, one would want to check to see that patient information is correct.
hi, fellow worrier,
It can take up to a week or two to get results depending on volume of scans a radiologist needs to evaluate. If you have someone to talk to about this a trusted friend or relative, a loved one, please do, it will help. and, stay in this supportive group.
my best to you, keep in mind nodules are usually benign but the waiting is hardest part. hang in there.
Thank you at Linpvc. It’s been three days and I called my doctors office and they said they didn’t have anything yet. For my first one it took two days. I’m just making myself ill with this. Thank you for your reply and support.💕
