I’ve tried ZQuiet without any change in snoring over 3 weeks.
Same for Pure Sleep and other adjustables. I believe the success numbers are all marketing hype. I track my sleep snoring every night using SnoreLab app. My original score 5 months ago averaged 42. Today after. 22 lbs lighter it is 21 with some nights as low as 13. I’ve tried olive oil shots, Vicks vaporub on throat, Flonase in nose at bedtime and salt water gargle. What I found was the position of my head/neck is the key. Side sleeper and I make sure my neck is as straight as possible at bedtime. If I wake in the night I consciously position my head on “firm” king pillow so that I’m almost looking up (left side sleeper). The point is to open the throat airway. All this said I’m in for another sleep study and will move probably to CPAP afterwards. I had brief sleeptest in early April that I walked out on due to discomfort and slept only 1 hour in 4. The PA for Sleep Doc told me weeks later, after I swallowed my pride for leaving, that I had 44 hypoxia instances in that 1 hour. I know that blowing moist air down your throat seems archaic way to solve this problem in 2025 but I’m smart enough to know that hypoxia 44 times in an hour is not healthy and contributes to my Afib and yawns by 2pm every afternoon. I’ll report back after my study and subsequent CPAP experience. Hoping to stay on my weight loss and workout journey. Good luck to all those suffering from Snoring and sleep associated issues.
