My Gleason score is 7 - 3+4. How long can I live without treatment?
My Gleason score is 7 - 3+4,. How long can I live without treatment? Since I decided not to get any treatment, because of horrible side effects, I was wondering, if someone who experienced the same condition, will share his experience with me.

There's lots of info and discussion on this on the internet.
Depending on how low the % of 4, you may be invited to consider a watch and wait approach.
I came within 10% on my 4s to qualify for the wait and watch.
Internet the subject and you'll see lots of info.
At your low numbers of very very favorable intermediate pc, lots of of very good options available-including possibly just watching and waiting ad infinitum.
One thought-get the views of both a radio oncologist ( a zapper) and a urologist (a surgeon).
Good luck!!
Have you spoken with a Radiation Oncologist? My Gleason was 3+4. Had 5 sessions of SBRT. It also depends on whether or not the cancer is contained only in the prostate. It doesn't sound like there is any rush. You may want to do genomic testing as well, if you haven't.
@mayoclinicadvice3 Ignore the " WATCH & WAIT ADVICE " -- This is entirely different to Active Surveillance , which I am on with Gleason 3 + 4 = 7 Cores . Refer to Dr. Patrick Walsh's book " Guide to Surviving Prostate Cancer " or Dr. Scholz U Tube Videos on this matter .
Have you had regular PSA Tests ( every three monthhs ) . A Bone and CT Scan or a followup MRI ?
I was 4+3 at the e biopsy but 4+5 at surgery. I’m glad I opted for the surgery right away.
I had a Gleason 7(3+4) in 2009 and opted for robotic removal in 2009. Cancer Free 16 years later I am Grateful. Have GrandChildren and an amazing loving wife. Your intimacy definitely takes a hit so that should be a major consideration, that part sucks.Even though there are treatments etc,not the same. Upon removal in 2009 I had a very small area of one lobe involved nothing outside. I have another friend who was diagnosed 10 years ago and did the watchful waiting and did nothing and is still good. When you hear the word cancer people panic. Don't rush,it is not necessary unless you have high grade cancer. Prostate cancer and treatment options are much more ahead of where they were in 2009. If I was to do it all over, I would have waited it out and observed changes over time. Hope this helps somebody else out.
