@sar098, I am sorry, I do not have know what those numbers mean. However, I do have what has been diagnosed as exercise induced asthma. Those symptoms act up when I get real active and exert myself - fast or uphill walking, or hiking. My doctor prescribed a Rx to help with the allergy aspect. It clears my airways, but did not control or stop the awful drip/clog in my throat. He said I could try a fluticasone nasal spraybecause I remembered that I had used it once before. Within a couple days, the mucous went away for me. You might ask your doctor if this is something that is safe for you to try.
I also use a saline nasal spray regularly, especially in winter to keep the irritating nasal drip away.

THANKS of all of you kind people for your concern
Thank you @jms7
Thank you @colleenyoung
I want to say that I started to suffer with having excess of mucus 3 months ago and it last for 2 months WITHOUT anther any symptom. after that I began to find difficulty in breath and i feel that my lung could not do its function because of i feel mucus get accumulating in airways.
I do not have anther symptoms like fever or cold . just continually excess of mucus in which i find difficulty in throw it out and recently problem in breathing.
I did swab throat and it found diplococci and candida and also did x -ray for chest
I sent those tests to the doctor and give me medicine;azithromycine 500 mg antibiotic for 3 days and montelukast and levocetirizine.
I take these medicines for 2 weeks but I could not get better.

I want to add if it is safe to use Expectorant medicine like mucosolvan to help in expelling phlegm But i am afraid if this can give bad impact because i do not have coughing to push mucus out SO may using expectorant medicine would not be right choice in my case.

thanks for your kindness gentle people

Hi everyone, I am a 19 year old male. I’ve never had any breathing problems but today, in the morning I felt some phlegm in my throat so I just let it all out without a coughing sensation or anything as such. I noticed that the colour of my phlegm was somewhat brownish. Also, I had a cough a week back which lasted for nearly 3 weeks with yellow phlegm but it got away on its own (I did take some normal cough syrup though). Another point to note is that I live in Delhi, India and our city is often associated with a very high level of air pollution. I have attached a picture of my phlegm. Please help me regarding what it might be and what diagnostic tests should I go for. Also, English is not my primary language so I am sorry for any errors. Thank you!:)

Have you tried a nebulizer treatment or emergency inhaler of albuterol. That helps me

@hishamhussain @aman Staff infections can cause sinus infections, and I have had similar trouble. A lot of people carry staph in their noses unknowingly. I had some instances of excess phlegm in my lungs that I can feel, but little other symptoms except the post nasal drip. I have asthma. No fever or cough. Sometimes phlegm is caused by some type of low grade infection, and I have found that to be true in my case. I've had some reoccurring chest infections that seemed to start in my sinuses. I use a saline rinse bottle. I take generic Mucinex to thin the mucous so it's easier to expel. I had spine surgery at Mayo 2 years ago. Before surgery, they had me treat my nose by putting a pea sized bead of Mupirocin (generic for Bactroban) ointment in the nostrils twice a day for about 10 days to kill any staph infections. I had some ointment left and I tried it when I had breathing issues with excess phlegm, and it worked. After treating for about 3 days, breathing would be normal again because I wasn't labored with phlegm. I'm better at recognizing this earlier now, but it's been enough to raise my resting heart rate over 100 beats per minute and the first time that happened, I went to the emergency room. They diagnosed bronchitis and put me on oral antibiotics which cured it, but it happens periodically. My doctor wrote prescriptions for Mupirocin so I have it on hand now and can treat my sinuses as soon as it starts. I do have allergies and do allergy shots and antihistamines, and I have to avoid foods that cause allergies and phlegm (like milk). You might want to consider seeing an ENT to see if they can culture what's in your sinus and throat. You can also do physical therapy or use a massager to loosen phlegm. Walking would help if you feel up to it. I also have a nebulizer which helps the asthma rescue medication get deeper into the lungs to clear them. I remember reading an article once about this kind of chest infection which is why I tried the antibiotic ointment. I hope these suggestions help and gives you something to ask your doctor about.

@hishamhussain, I had been having a post nasal drip. So I think it came from my nose. But doctors are not for sure what was going on. X-ray, stress test with imaging, pulmonary function tests ruled out lung or heart conditions. We are treating it as being related to seasonal allergies which were really awful in my area this year. My only experience with any kind of a breathing/lung issue is very recent.
Has a doctor given you any information regarding your x-ray and your swab results?

I am going to ask @hironopiro and @katemn to look at this question for you. They might have some useful suggestions for you.
Sending you strength and hope, Rosemary

@reddy It might be allergies. I have asthma triggered by allergies, and my other post talks about my symptoms and issues. I think I have it figured out now. My issues all start with allergies that cause the build up of phlegm and can progress to being an infection. I have 3 cats and am very allergic to them. I found a way to cope with that with extra cleaning to remove dander, wiping my cats with a wet washcloth (they are not fans of that) a HEPA filter that also has carbon filtration next to my bed blowing on me, and wearing a good quality surgical mask when I sleep that is rated at 99% efficiency. We are more vulnerable when we sleep because we are not clearing phlegm like when we are up and moving around. You can try wearing a mask and see if it stops your phlegm buildup and then you would know where to start. My mask are made by 3M #1829 Procedure mask with >99% @ 0.1 Micron particles which is equivalent to a HEPA filter. they have ear loops and are comfortable to wear. I bought them online form Walmart. I also do allergy shots and/or antihistamines. Having chronic excess phlegm does set you up for lung infections because the bugs love it.
