Does anyone have any experience with MEIBO (PF) drops for dry eyes?

I've tried many suggestions from several ophthalmologists for my dry eyes, which started after Cataract surgery.
My current ophthalmologist at Mayo Clinic has suggested Meibo drops. She sent the Rx to BlinkRX, and with my insurance, it's $627!

I tried those drops, they irritated my eyes. I decided not to continue using them because the main ingredient is one of the for ever chemicals that are potentially toxic

So sorry you got dry eye after cataract surgery. Did they say why? I’m facing that now and I already have dry eye.

I experienced the same thing with a Meibo prescription, but my ophthalmologist is with Duke. I was hopeful this new drop would prove effective, but my out of pocket was over $600 too. . I may give it another try with my new insurance coverage and see how much it is now. No way I can afford that.

I feel very defeated with my eye treatments. The nightly ointment and daily gel and drops are so expensive and arevall nonprescription, so it’s out of pocket. I feel it’s very unfair. I also have Salzman’s nodules, which is aggravated by dry eye.

I’ve been on Meibo for over a year due to insufficient limbal stem cells. Meibo has the finest viscosity of any eye drop tried! Love it. My original Rx was sent to BlinkRx. I dropped BlinkRx because of erratic shipping & poor customer service. Switched to Walgreen. Same crazy price but it least I avoid missing shipments.

I really want to try it. I will say that getting the punctual plugs last months has helped. My eyes look better than they have in years!

Meibo hasn’t been on the market very long and continues to be very pricy. I had the acrylic plugs but they popped out in 2 days.
Good luck!

How could you tell your plugs fell out? With my previous plugs, I only knew when I returned to the doctor and he told me.

I’ve had plugs 3 times. Each time they popped out in less than a week. The plugs rested on my eyeballs!

Wow! I can’t imagine. I’m pretty sure mine are still intact as I feel my eyes are less dry than before placement.

The dry eyes journey can be a long and winding road. I have insufficient limbal stem cells, seeing a cornea specialist and using lots of eye drops. Good luck to you!

Please know that you can get Miebo for a much better price. Look up Pharmacy Checker. Com on your computer, and write Meibo. They will tell you what pharmacies carry it overseas and how much it will be. I get mine from a Canadian pharmacy and the Miebo comes from New Zealand and Australia. I pay $150 for 9ml( 3 bottles, lasting three months.) With a prescription, everything is done online- very easy.
