Opacity and nodlue

Recent CT shows new 8mm solid nodule and significant opacity both in upper left lobe. Last CT 7 years ago. Previous CT has other nodules under 6mm with no change in 13 years What type of follow up should I be asking for

I would say that your report sounds pretty good to me, I think you should keep a routine check on the nodule you mentioned, it’s too small for biopsy so they can monitor it over time to watch for any changes. It’s basically what they do in situations where the nodule is small but anything that’s found early is usually a blessing.

I would request a 3 month follow up CT.

I would maintain regular follow ups, I was diagnosed with Interstitial Lung Disease, from the time I was diagnosed with a considerable amount of opacity with multiple nodules to being admitted into Intensive Care was 8 months. In other words, my condition was found when it was too late! I went downhill rapidly from that point with opportunistic infections such as Pseudomonas and fluid retention in and around my lungs. I only survived because of a lung transplant. So be vigilant and ensure the condition doesn't worsen. I am not trying to cause you any grief just wanted to share with you, my story.
