Gastric Motility Test Result?
Who has had the test for gastric motility (slow moving colon?) and what were the results for you? What was the solution? Was anyone prescribed Motecrity for this and did it work? I am starting this drug, although I never had the motility test. The GI thinks this will help me. I am not sure.

I am all over the place. The NP is willing to try anything that I suggest so in the last few months she gave me Rx for Lactulose, which tastes like honey and made me ill. And now Motecrity, which I will try soon. This is after Linzess and Amitizia, both of which were awful. Linzess worked ok but I ached all over and have RA, which isn't good for me. I just have little urge to go, ever. The best improvement comes with Colace + and senna or Triphala. I have stopped worrying too. It got so bad I was dreaming about doctors telling me I had to Poo and get it out of me! If I go, fine. If not fine. The relaxed attitude has a lot to do with it. I keep track of the poo times and they average about twice a week.
Good news that are have stopped dreaming about all of this. I am recognizing what I am trying currently seems to have a systemic impact. I guess that’s the thing, anything we do to our body does have to have an impact on our entire body. At least that has been my experience. A couple other things, it seems like there’s more than one thing going on at the same time. Also, I have experienced horribleness before things I’ve tried for various things end up working. I visited with one provider about it, that I envision it like Bactine we use to help cuts on our skin. If I didn’t see it work I would never use it again. It can hurt. 😬
I’m not any help solving your problem. Are you ok with how things are going with you at the moment then? Keep on keepin’ on!
@phxbarb
I was curious how you made out with the motility test. I was just given an order for starting one this weekend. In the meantime, they prescribed Motegrity for me. Could you share how you’ve made out? Thank you

1 Reaction@reillyg1013 So much confusion on these Mayo Clinic websites. What does @ signify? either to someone or from someone. why can't they figure this out and make it easier for people to reply?
I never had a mobility test. So I think you replied to me in error. I am managing very well with Trulance and Mirolax. Sorry for the confusion.
