I have been dealing with what my doctors agree are micro-clots. I have not had the test to confirm it yet because it is not approved by insurance and is very expensive. A year ago I was airlifted to UVA for emergency surgery (the third surgery I had) and had a four compartment fasciotomy. I spent a month in the hospital. I was on triple therapy for several months and it seemed to be working very well but I developed bleeding issues and was taken off it. I am now on Eliquis and aspirin. I have had to have two more surgeries to insert stents since then. My vascular scans show that blood flow in my right leg is worsening and that I have now also developed some clots in my left leg . We keep a close watch on it. It seems like the triple therapy is the recommended treatment and that Dr. Vaugh is the go to for micro-clots. There are several interviews that were done on Full Measure that are on You-Tube which featured him and his work with long-Covid. You can search for them by putting in "Full Measure Micro-clots". I believe that there are several people on the site that are seeing him.
It's been a long strange trip but the journey continues so I am blessed. I sit on the Board of Directors for two non-profit organizations and have been able to get back to my volunteering. I am also an artist and am back to painting and creating mixed media. I enjoy time with family and friends so life is full again.
So you think the Eliquis and aspirin have lessened the microclots?
