Face lift: Is it worth it?

Just look at Nancy Pelosi and all the money she has spent on face lifts. That should deter you right there.

I had my breast and stomach done fie mt 50th, of course im rather past sexy hot beach body but it was absolutely worth it. Between my 4 kids braces, sports, drivers training, cars, trend of the month ect i decided it was my turn. I will get brow lift for my deep set eyes and anything else my surgeon is willing to do. They are very pucky in my area and you must be healthy and actually a candidate. Not just anyone get elective surgery.

My sister had the eyebrow lift and "bleph" for her eyelids. She looks so awake and the extra folds around her eyes are gone. She had to pay out of pocket. But, my husband's eyelids were affecting peripheral vision, covering pupils to some extent, and Medicare paid for it. It takes a couple days of alternating cool patches (small round ones online, keep in the refrigerator) to keep the swelling down and then pretty great after a few weeks. No bruising. A lot of the upper lip, cross lines have to use fillers.

Is it worth it is so subjective. You said you want to look and feel "more pleasant." I imagine that might mean fresher, perhaps more uplifted. It is really what feels right to you. Perhaps a few consultations with not hollywood but well recommend plastic surgeon's or cosmetic dermatologists might be helpful. Only you can decide if plastic surgery is worthwhile for you.

Plastic surgery does not have to look like nancy pelosi or anyone else. It should look like you. I knew an 80 yo woman many years ago who was deeply upset about her neck. She had a minimal surgery on her neck which lifter her up literally and figuratively. So it depends on you not anyone else.

I’m 59 and just do Botox and the occasional filler. If I were to get a face and neck lift would that mean no more botox needed?

I'm 83. My skin tends to sag. I've had 3 facelifts. YES! It was worth it. People tell me I look 60. My brain thinks I'm 50. I'm not trying to make other people think I'm younger than I am. I'm trying to FEEL younger than I am when I look in the mirror.

If you had a face lift, Botox would probably still be needed but it’s an individual option, a lift can remove or reduce lines caused by volume loss or loss of elasticity. The Botox would help with deep lines from aging and also sun damage. I noticed that you mentioned age 59, this is a good age for small amounts of Botox to lift your spirits, also fillers are very popular but I think it’s more for the noticeably aged faces. It’s also interesting to know that men are getting more cosmetic surgery and treatments for their hair loss, I guess they want to be more attractive too, nothing wrong with that.

I can certainly hear from your post that you’re young in spirit, bravo to you Ruby that you can go through this at 83, I’m truly impressed. You made me think about comedian Joan Rivers, she also was very open about her cosmetic procedures and she looked fabulous into her 80’s.

I am a man, abd I have known men who have had the "treatment".
Even though there is a "lifetime"?? guarantee. It is only for the "guarantee" of the hair they transplant from other parts of the body. Not your lifetime. The men I know are bald again! HaHa
