Does anyone have an autoimmune pancreatitis? Is Mayo Clinic in Jax a good place to start for 2nd opinion?

I too have AIP type 1. I did many rounds of predisone and every time they tried tapering off I would flare up again. Then the dr tried mercaptopurine which testing showed my liver could tolerate. Unfortunately it did not and I had to discontinue.
I am now on rituximab infusions and do them every 6 months. My labs are good and I have been in remission for over 2 years.

There really aren’t any that I had to make as I am diabetic and already eating smaller meals watching carbs and sugar intake. I have heard that smaller meals is recommended to not overwork the pancreas but I don’t know if that would be a sure thing or not.

Hi @harper7745 you may have noticed I moved you post to this discussion you started on autoimmune pancreatitis per @johnbishop's suggestion.

That's great the inflammation is gone after started creon. What information did you doctor provide to you when you first started on creon?
