I'm about to begin treatments with Vidaza, what should I know?

I'm about to begin treatments with Vidaza. Does anyone have any experiences they can share about their success, or what I should be prepared for?

While it's only been a few days since I started treatment, my numbers seem to be improving. The Dr. and I are both optimistic that it will continue. So far, no adverse effects. Happy!

My husband finishes his 2nd round of vidaza tomorrow, our cancer specialist at Levine cancer, Charlotte explained that’s the way it would go. Up and down ,so we take it that it most be working. Hang in there and trust your doctors and God.

My husband just finished his first round of Vidaza, 7 days on and in 1 month again treatment. He went thru the treatment very well, real fatigued some days. He received the treatment by an injection in his stomach, his only real complaint was it really irritated at injection site. He has a pikline and the next treatment will be thru the pikline. Good luck to you, you’ll do great.

A PICC line, or peripherally inserted central catheter, is a thin, flexible tube used for long-term intravenous access, typically in the upper arm, with the tip resting in a major vein near the heart. It's used for administering medications, fluids, blood transfusions, and taking blood samples, reducing the need for repeated needle sticks.

I have only had injections into my stomach fat.
