COZpD Clinical Trial

Has anyone read of a clinical trial using P63 progenitor cells to grow new alveoli in patients?

Interested in more discussions like this? Go to the COPD: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease Support Group.

I read a couple of articles about small-scale trials. Sure sounds promising... anybody know of any trials done outside China, or estimated cost of this treatment?

That’s the trial I had read about. Thanks for sharing it.
It seems to be the most encouraging news out there regarding COPD!
I hope we can “hold out” until the procedure is perfected, approved & available for the general public.

I would even go to China if it was allowed.

My question would be if this was an on-going clinical trial in 2023 in Italy, has the US jumped in ........and if not, why not. Certainly the Medical community is aware.

That is my question as well. It seems that as promising as the small trial in China was that clinicians in the US would be eager to begin large scale trials of their own.
And with all the “hoopla” regarding AI, one would think there would be more “news” regarding new developments in treating COPD.

Since it is still in Clinical Trial status you would have to be accepted nto the program based on the criteria out-lined, but I'm like you.....I'd go for it!
Just read several article from NIH and explored Medical centers finding out that in fact that lung transplants can and are being done robotically , NYC Langone, Duke....discouraging when one the initial run through there was nothing except the "crack you chest" method....so what changed in 6- months? Centers have even upped the age of candidates that they would consider under certain circumstances from 65- 75. So why is this info not readily available for those of us that are researching it?
