Going off of Xanax
I have been taking Xanax for 25 years for Fibromyalgia and Anxiety. I am trying to wean myself off of it. Has anyone done this?

@rasha cal1, @johnbishop
Perhaps there is a misunderstanding here. In my last and I admit, rather lengthy response, I sort of laid out my entire CBD daily regimen. I have been using CBD in some form for 3 years. Would you like me to repost the prior response? I am happy to do so. I also thought that maybe there was a hitch in the get-a-long on "connect" so I am including John in this response.. Chris

2 ReactionsHi @rascal1, Here's Chris's @artscaping post where she went into detail on how she uses CBD and how it's helped her. I see it a few posts above this one.

2 ReactionsFantastic that you’ve gotten the help for your pain without opioids!
I’m looking for CBD only without THC for anxiety and depression and there is so much information and so many procucts, it’s difficult to know where to begin.

1 ReactionI use Charlottes Web Hemp oil for my severe anxiety and depression. I just cam off Ativan and Seroquel and it’s helping. It cost around $40 for the small bottle. I just ordered CBD oil from Lazarus and waiting for its delivery
You take both for anxiety and depression?
@rascal1- I have never used CBD oil, but was perscribed Xanax initially with Klonopin when I 1st started taking Klonopin over 20 yrs. ago. My Psychiatrist felt that because Klonopin takes time to build up in our system that he wanted me to have the Xanax for "just in case" instances. I remember having to drive on the freeway to return something and this was one of the things that I had a hard time doing since this was one of the things that brought on one of my initial PA's. I was feeling like I could do it and about halfway I hit this stretch where there was construction going on and they narrowed down the lanes without any shoulders. I went into a panic and pulled off the road the 1st place I could and took my Xanax. I waited a bit, but instead things seem to get worse! I must have been on the side of the road for an hour or more. My wife talked me through things over the cell phone and I never made my original destination, but did make it home just fine. I only tell this story to say that Xanax was never for me, but Klonopin helped me take back my life!

Hi there, @rascal1, this is Mamacita here. Pleasure to meet you, sir. I am impressed with your knowledge of the various products and the method of delivery.
Where I live, the information I have gathered is that we can get a card from our PCP's for certain medical conditions that tend to be chronic in nature. This sllows us to purchase the products that are otherwise illegal at this point in time.
Neither my husband nor myself have taken advantage of this. I know that we need to research this more, as it does appear there are less side effects than the medicines we take for chronic pain.I personally have cut way back on Lyrica, Flexeril, Mobic, etc. I tell my doctors that I need these meds for when I have flares. But I
just cannot see taking them every single day.
Sorry this is so long! I look forward to hearing more from your posts, as I can certainly identify with your attempts to safely conquer pain. Good night and have a great day tomorrow!
Mamacita
