Have never heard of ototoxic drugs. Very interesting. I didn't realize that a drug could affect your ears!!!! I have had two knee surgeries -- ten years apart. (The only surgeries I've had.) For the surgery last year, they gave me a spinal injection. But for the first one, ten years ago, they put me under. And I think that my hearing loss started around that time. It would be interesting to know what kind of medications they used.

Ototoxic drugs could be anything from aspirin to depression and anxiety medications that raise serotonin levels in the brain. I volunteer for an organization called Tinnitus Quest and very familiar with hearing loss. I also understand these medications and the effects they have and would like to educate you. Always free to email me at tvtinnius@gmail,com. I would be glad to help.
