Side effects of Tebentafusp: Anyone experience photophobia?

Posted by pandre01 @pandre01, Mar 29 12:33am

I have been taking Tebentafusp for a long time. One of the side effects is described as "blurred vision". This could mean anything. I have developed photophobia. I suspect this is because the iris and choroid are covered with pigmented melanocytes that block too much light and UV radiation entering and that the Tebentafusp has damaged these. I have had other side effects, such as losing all the pigment in my skin. However, photophobia hasn't been described as a side effect, and I was wondering if it is included in the term "blurred vision". Has anyone else experienced photophobia? Thanks.

@pandre01, I expanded the title of your question and added the discussion to the Melanoma group. How are you managing this new development of being sensitive to light?

During the day, I wear long sleeves, a hat and sunglasses (80% tint) as a physical barrier when outside. I can't drive unless a hat protects my eyes from the direct line of sight of the sun. I can walk around without sunglasses in the late afternoon and wear short sleeves occasionally when there is no sun or UV. I find white rooms with overhead lights very bright and lower my eyes. I also find deep blues and violet exaggerated, eg in Pilates class. I work in the garden with a scarf to protect my neck and a hat with a brim and material that drapes over my head. I once had a red face when I was out of doors, which took weeks to go away, and I now use a cream to avoid that. I don't need protection inside my own house.
