Aging Alone—Finding Strength and Connection
As we grow older, many of us face the reality of living alone or being without a strong support system. Let’s talk about it—how do you stay connected with others, maintain your independence, and find joy in this stage of life? Are there communities, activities, or personal practices that have made a difference for you? Let’s share ideas, experiences, and encouragement to remind ourselves that we’re never truly alone.

I wonder how many other people saw that and thought they had been banned from the site? My guess is that it was something they were doing on their end and for a time the visitors to the site got that message.

1 ReactionYou are welcome.
Living alone and trying to stay active go hand in hand. Join whatever groups you can at the pool, the library, senior centers, gyms, mahjong, cards, chess, etc. Outside of activities can get you out of the house, but while you are at home, to stay connected with friends and relatives, use email, phone calls and FaceTime calls.
Also, I play mind games online and I am careful not to pay for any upgrades, etc. I have an iPad and don’t know what I would do without it! I often do free online jigsaw puzzles, word games and cognitive games to increase my memory and concentration. You can invest in an iPad from the Apple store and get free classes at the local library on how to use it. It really is not that difficult. I utilize my online calendar daily. You can also read books on your iPad. The key: invest in yourself!

10 ReactionsWhere did you hear that? It appears it was a website problem, not an internet problem.

1 ReactionYou're welcome. The reason I commented on this is because when people get error messages or problems with the internet they should know what is, or how to determine, the likely cause.
