Have you found anything to successfully treat fibromyalgia pain?

I am looking for answers to what anyone has found to successfully treat my pain from fibromyalgia. Getting desperate.

The drug Imipramine has helped me tremendously. I asked my doctor to prescribe Amitriptyline because I had read that it decreases Fibromyalgia pain and improves sleep. He said he thought Imipramine would work better than Amitriptyline for both. I have been taking Imipramine for about two weeks and I can already tell that my Fibromyalgia pain level has decreased.

I would really love to hear more about this new medication. I have had Fibro for 25 years and have taken about everything they have to offer at one point or another. I have found nothing that helps the pain, but lets me live fairly normally without being dopey. I took one amitriptyline and was loopy for a week. Not the answer for me.

Hi there. I take 30mg of Amitriptyline on a night before i go to bed. But during the day i will drink or try to plenty of water. I like to eat a lot of greens and berries, i still have constant pain but i guess i am use to it. I just bought a heated water foot spa which helps a bit and a revitive medic which also helps. Keeping warm heated cusions can make you comfortable. Hope that helps.

Glad to hear about the pain being decreased with no fogginess. Has Imipramine helped with your sleep as well?

If you still have constant pain, what is the amitriptyline doing for you? Maybe helping you sleep? Those left me so dopey I couldn’t function, but I am interested in the new medication Cotton blossom mentioned. I don’t know

It helps me sleep. Some days are better than others. My pain tends to be really bad late morning to early afternoon but can help if i put my heated cusion.
