Autoimmune Inner Ear Disease
2019 I had sudden hearing loss with tinnitus in right ear that later developed also in left ear. Losing hearing in both ears. Tinnitus so loud 24/7 I can barely hear through it. I’ve avoided all the foods/drink etc that increase tinnitus but no help. Hearing just keeps getting worse. Rheumatologist says all markers are fine including inflammation. Have uveitis and eczema flare ups, and acid reflux. My 3rd and 4th toes on each foot are numb. My fingers go numb when I sleep on my sides. Lower right back hurts with right thigh sciatica. All of these symptoms started around the same time. I’ve tried Prednisone 60 mg for 21 days then Methotrexate 7.5 mg once a week. Symptoms improved ( other than the hearing) a week after starting the Prednisone. Hearing and tinnitus improved a week after stopping the Prednisone but only lasted 2 weeks. Poor hearing and tinnitus came back even worse, even after increasing the Methotrexate to 10 mg after 3 months. Ferritin jumped to 616, GGP to 71, and ALT(SGPT) to 48. No one knows why. Starting another 21 day round of Prednisone 60 mg then Azathioprine this week. Any suggestions? I can’t find an AEID specialist anywhere.

This may sound a little off the beaten path , Could possiblity be the reason for the cause , or inability to give treatment for your ears, also proper medication in the treatment for the lupus flareup that seems to be so persistent .....Ask to be tested for ""Biofilms """"l don't know which test Biofilms test that closely matches your symptoms or diagnosed illness's. Be persistent in having this test done ,, This test I'm not going to get all technical. It is a polymer coating that covers a multitude of fungi, or virus bacterial ,internal ,,,Also. External. for illness. ,,,,,Also Be persistent in having a ""blood sample """" For allergies food test done complete .. This test tells you the percentages of corn, wheat,soy, milk, exc... How allergic to each one item You will be surprised as to what your body is actually allergic to by knowing this cut these foods out will drastically change the flare-ups , Between stress of not being evaluated properly and relationship of food allergies comes with auto amune lupus problems and possible biofilms
Have a complete food allergies test done .....also ask for a Biofilms. Test. I have been writing for the last two hours. My thumbs are wore out,, be persistent in having these two tests You will be surprised
Have looked at ménière's disease it's hearing lost in one ear and Vertigo is one of the symptoms of it. I had it for 16 yrs I am totally deaf in leaf ear and

Is very painful. The first 3 yrs were terrible, stress is a big one with Vertigo. It calmed down after i stopped work and now balance has been a issue. But of all there's nothing they can do!? I try the food thing which is bs cause nothing has worked.
Myself been dealing with thyroid auto amune hosheshumoto thyroiditis uncontrollable hypothyroidism unspecified hypothyroidism to total thyroid atrophy,,26 yrs the blood food allergies test made big difference in what was causing all the eczema. Anxiety ... what about being checked for Biofilms
First I'm hearing about testing Biofilms. Interesting. Who would do that? My dermatologist? I know very well MY rheumatologist would not have a clue or be helpful with this at all. The biofilm testing is probably out of pocket right? How is that test done? Blood work. I know I can get the food allergy texts done with my dermatologist. Thank you for this idea to check out.
