Has anyone tried Auvelity?

Has anyone tried Auvelity? I know it is for Major Depressive Disorder (which I have) but I also suffer from Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Panic Disorder. Has anyone had any luck with Auvelity treating not only their depression but also their anxiety?

I tried Auvelity and it seemed to help for a few weeks. But I got insomnia and then super bad headaches with nausea so now I’ve discontinued.

Oh, I’m so sorry to hear of your bad experience with Auvelity. I’m very hesitant to take it for fear of side effects and for fear that it will not address my Generalized Anxiety Disorder.
I hope you have found a medication with more tolerable side effects or, hopefully, without any side effects.
Take care and thank you for responding so quickly to my question.

I suffer from major depressive disorder and panic disorder and have been on Auvelty for about a month. Around week two, it seemed to help in that I was more resilient, but it hasn’t helped mitigate my depression or anxiety. I should also add that nothing has helped me, I’ve tried every medication and treatment possible, so don’t let my experience discourage you from trying Auvelity. I know it has helped quite a few people and it’s the fastest acting anti-depressant available - I would also add that I have not experienced any noticeable side effects from being in Auvelity. My doctor plans to keep me on it at least for the time being. Hope this helps even if a little bit!

Thank you so much for replying to my post. It was very kind of you.
I’m sorry you haven’t experienced any noticeable improvement in your depression and anxiety, thus far, since starting the Auvelity. Hopefully, it will improve. If not, please continue to try other meds or treatments and be proud of yourself for your strength, courage, and fortitude as you try each new medicine or treatment.
I’ve decided to try Pristiq instead of Auvelity. Today is my first day on the Pristiq — hoping it works because I, too, have tried numerous meds and treatments without any success, except for Zoloft which eventually stopped working.
I wish you all the best. Know that you’re not alone and we will find something that works for us!

Thank you for your kind words, I never thought I’d be at this place - without a single advocate to help me with my lifelong struggle through depression. Only people who deliberately misunderstand what it’s like….every day is hell, I can’t sleep because I dread the next day, cycle after cycle. And no one cares. People are tired of me and have become desensitized, I’ve withdrawn further and the cycle keeps going. I wish you all the best. It honestly sounds like you have more options that I do. Keep pursuing them. I know how hard it is. Keep going as long as you can. If only some people knew what we did just to put one foot on the ground out of our bed each day. It can be like climbing Mt Everest to the top.

I feel really good on Auvelity, but wow the daytime sleepiness is intense. Anybody else get that? Snooze snooze snooze. I just started Auvelity 6 days ago when I started sessions with a psychiatrist, finally. Wish I'd connected with one sooner. I don't talk to any of my loved ones about this kind of thing. I'm 71, just trying to live my best life.

I am 67 and take Auvelity. It has changed my life for the better big time. I did not experience any sleepiness during the day. You should probably ask your doctor about it. Auvelity was a "lifter" of sorts for me. Definitely speak to your doctor.

Thank you. My dr switched me to taking it at night, which has helped enormously, much less daytime sleepiness. What time of day do you take yours? I also figured out that there were other medications contributing to the sleepiness, so I'm adjusting those. Looking forward to an increase, which is what's next. It's super good to hear that it has changed your life for the better big time, that's wonderful, and we're in the same age range! Very helpful to know - thanks.

I take two a day. AM and PM.
Both doses are 40-105. I think they are extended. I take no other "head meds" other than the occasional clonepane for anxiety

Hi! Yea, at first it was AM and PM but I was swimming in sleepiness. I take other medications for my RLS - bupren0rphine and preg@balin. We are currently working on reducing these meds to combat the sleepiness. I love Auvelity and cannot wait to take it twice a day! I am so glad to not be crying any more, which is such a sad statement but it's true. (Are we supposed to disguise medications here? We do on a RLS site so I'm in the habit!)
