Hi,
I received 2 dilations - one for my esophagus and then a more targeted one for my upper sphincter. This, plus swallow therapy, has helped tremendously. I no longer have the globus sensation. I do have slow motility when swallowing but it is much less noticeable than it used to be and as long as I have some water nearby when I am eating something dry or larger (like a big sandwich), I am fine. I have even returned to eating any and all acidic foods that I want to, with moderation. Hope you are able to find some relief!
