Get on the cancelled appointment list, it works pretty good, they have gotten me appts. They have always called when there's been a cancellation. God Bless
Many provide contract with major health plans also have a time frame. Contact member services to see if they can facilitate the care needed. Also cc state insurance commissioner .

Erika here! In Alaska!I have been dealing with digestive issues since I was a little girl. I am 31 y/o now and am tired of getting no answers or hitting dead ends. I was diagnosed with stomach ulcers many years ago and more recently a hiatal hernia that no doctor wants to repair.Back tracking, I was born 2 months prematurely and doctors are considering that that has influence on the issues I have had since a young age. At 4, I vomited a bowel obstruction after not having a bowel movement for 30 days. Since then? Nothing but problems. Constipation my entire life, every medication? Tried it. I have finally decided to reach out to Mayo to attempt to have my questions answered and I look forward to hopefully getting scheduled. When I requested the appointment, they put me on a wait-list and told me the next 12 weeks are booked solid, and to continue checking my patient portal for offers. Did any of you do anything different? Did you call often to see if there were openings? Did you not call at all? I am trying to be proactive and wondering what everyone else is doing. Thanks in advance.
