One watery eye

I’ve had eye problems for several years now and I still don’t know what it is. It’s usually my left eye that gives me troubles, about every other month it starts to hurt and followed by itching and watering. I get regular eye exams but nothing definitive comes up, last year I was diagnosed with angular glocccoma and received laser surgery. The problem with my left eye remained the same, I noticed vision changes in recent months and I was told I have cataracts and referred to another clinic, I’m waiting for the results. The problem I have is that I get checked regularly and they say that I’m okay but when I complain about my left eye they suddenly find something wrong, when I get it treated the eye pain still comes back. I am beginning to have a lack of faith with these specialists, I recently learned that it’s a big money making industry and seniors are being targeted. It went on to say that seniors are being scheduled for unnecessary surgery and some of the clinics try to coherse you into laser surgery which is very expensive if you don’t have extra medical insurance or the means to pay for it.

Hi Frouke,
I'm sorry you are having such eye problems. I do believe you are right. They are more interested in the money than our good health. I saw that with my husband when he had lung cancer and they insisted on him getting Keytruda infusions which cost $25,000 per infusion! He got three and it almost killed him. He refused anymore infusions and the cancer doctor got mad! Needless to say, we changed cancer doctors and my husband lived for another 6 years! I don't think he would have if he had continued getting the Keytruda infusions.

In your situation, maybe you should just ignore the eye exams as long as you can see OK. I have worn glasses since I was 6 and I'm 78. I can tell when I'm seeing good and when I have a problem that needs attention. Sometimes I don't have an eye exam for 5 years and see just fine.

The one thing we can do is put everything in God's hands and let him handle our problems. I'll say a prayer for you.
